GARNET's core theme is ‘Global Governance, Regionalisation and Regulation: the Role of the EU’. To integrate research from Europe and beyond, GARNET organises an international conference every year starting 2006. This one, held in Amsterdam, will be the first.

EARIE aims to provide a forum for the exchange of theories and research findings in the wider field of industrial economics and industrial organization. Researchers broadly consistent with these aims are invited to submit their papers for the 2006 conference.
