The goal of this one-day conference is to enhance the interaction among researchers interested in financial intermediation. The conference will consist of five to seven papers. Submissions on all areas of financial intermediation will be considered.

This will be the eighth such conference held by Advances in Econometrics on the topics of the volume.

The conference will feature mostly contributed papers with formal discussion and software demonstrations on topics related to a variety of statistical research issues. Papers and demonstrations should address methodology, empirical studies, relevant issues, or needs for statistical research.

The purpose is to bring together researchers from different disciplines that study Liquidity, Credit Risk and Extreme Events. This includes econometrics, finance, mathematics and statistics.
