Developing and transition economies will be increasingly concerned with environmental and natural resources management issues; they will have to solve a three-fold challenge: a better environment, good economic performances and poverty reduction as targeted by the Millennium Development Goals....

The conference will favour theoretical contributions, but also welcomes original applied studies showing explicit links with the analysis of sustainable development. All geographical areas are eligible: North and south, urban and rural, coastal and maritime, are all considered.
