A flexible approach to holidays in colleges
Since I am well aware of the current areas of disagreement between employers and the professional associations on the question of the extended educational year (48 weeks) I should like to introduce the discussion of a related procedure for improving the efficiency of colleges which simply involves a redistribution of the vacation entitlement of senior staff and in no sense infringes any of the safeguards required by, for example, the ATTI (my own Union).
