A PERCEPÇÃO AMBIENTAL DOS MORADORES DA COMUNIDADE DO DIVINO ESPÍRITO SANTO – APA NHAMUNDÁ, AM-BRASIL
A presente pesquisa pretendeu analisar a percepção ambiental que os moradores da comunidade do Divino Espírito Santo possuem em relação à Área de Proteção Ambiental Estadual Nhamundá. A APA Nhamundá é uma unidade de conservação de uso sustentável localizada no extremo leste do Estado do Amazonas. A mesma está situada em dois ecossistemas, sendo 15% de terra firme e 85% de várzea, possuindo em seus limites 33 comunidades. Através da análise da percepção ambiental dos moradores, foi possível compreender como os mesmos percebem o ambiente onde vivem, e a influência que o ecossistema de várzea e o ciclo sazonal das águas determinam em seu modo de vida. Por meio desta foi possível compreender também que está ocorrendo uma contínua redução na variedade e quantidade de algumas espécies animais, fato que se deve ao manejo deficiente realizado pelos órgãos responsáveis e a falta de recursos humanos e financeiros para o gerenciamento da APA. Outro fato analisado, também consequência do manejo, são os diferentes tipos de conflitos pelo uso dos recursos naturais. Diante da análise, conclui-se que a percepção ambiental pode ser utilizada não apenas como instrumento de avaliação da qualidade do ambiente natural ou uma forma de compreender a relação homem/natureza, mas também como um mecanismo que possibilita entender o descaso e a forma como são conduzidas e gerenciadas as Unidades de Conservação.
