Análisis de regresión básica con Excel (Basic Regression Analysis with Excel)

This is a course material for an introductory course in Probability and Statistics for Engineering and Management. It is part of some course notes for my courses in Spanish on that subject. The draft of the book is Apuntes de Probabilidad y Estadiacute;stica para Ingenieriacute;a y Administracioacute;n (Notes for Probability and Statistic for Engineering and Management) and this part is Anaacute;lisis de regresioacute;n (Basic Regression Analysis). In this chapter we present the basic tools for regression analysis. With linear regression analysis we can find models that relate variables linked by causal relationships between given variables. The idea is to use this tool to predict the behavior of some independent variable and other dependent variables.Before performing any statistical analysis we should examine if there is a logical relationship between independent and dependent variables. This effort is of utmost importance. Calculations are easily made using the computing and inexpensive power of software and computers. To find the possible relationships between variables is a delicate work of observation, intelligent, experience and intuition. All these methods are studied using intensively the spreadsheet.This material is in Spanish
