Development and Empowerment of Society by Financial Inclusion

Financial Inclusion is not a new phenomenon. In India, the initial efforts for Financial Inclusion can be traced in the 1904 with the beginning of the co-operative movement. Many researchers worked on Financial Inclusion, after reviewing the literature we identified, number of plans and initiatives launched time to time by the government both at central and state level but still there are several challenges that require concerted efforts from banks, the RBI and the government to ensure easy and cost effective delivery of formal financial services to the large segment of population
