Establishing Vendor Rating Based on Quality Performance and Other Criteria
The methods traditionally employed to assess the capability of suppliers to deliver what is wanted at the right time are described. More recently quality appraisal has been developed and preventive quality has grown out of this. The experience of Black and Decker with quality appraisal is described and the way in which the company adopted this approach is discussed in detail.
