Factori limitativi în aplicarea tehnologiilor de exploatare a pădurilor din zona inundabilă a Dunării
Logging activities in the Danube flooded area are affected by the presence of various restrictive factors. The variation in the river’s high waters may cause flooding of the cutting areas or of the access routes to them, thus influencing the development of technological processes. The extreme temperatures, both during summer and winter, generate a decrease of the equipment’s efficiency and also cause staff discomfort. Flooding waters generate a favourable environment for the development of mosquito populations, which may cause disagreeable effects to the human element of the technological process. Also, the variation in the flood watermarks generates in time a particular relief, where a variance of only few centimeters may influence upon the flood of a certain area, having immediate inference upon logging.
