Factors Behind Fertility Swings in Sweden 1965-1998

The purpose of this paper is to discuss possible explanations to the variations in Swedish fertility rate. We are primarily interested in economic and social conditions. The results differ but it seems as changes in number of female students and number of divorces (in relation to marriages) may have had a negative and significant effect on the fertility fluctuations.
