Familien - U/unternehmen
In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden die Resultate einer qualitativen Organisationsdiagnose vorgestellt. An Hand eines Familienunternehmens wurde untersucht, wie die Mitglieder des Betriebes ihre alltäglichen Probleme lösen, woran sich deren Wahrnehmungen, Handlungen und Kommunikationen orientieren und welche Folgen diese Sicht- und Handlungsschemata auf die Funktionsweise des Unternehmens haben. Weiters wurde der Frage nachgegangen, ob bisherige Funktionslösungen vor dem Hintergrund veränderter Umweltbedingungen an ihre Grenzen stoßen und wenn ja, welche Folgen und Gefahren sich daraus ableiten lassen. Im Zuge der auf qualitativen Methoden basierenden Untersuchung kristallisierte sich heraus, dass der inneren Ordnung des beforschten Unternehmens verschiedene Konfliktpotentiale innewohnen. Diese basieren einerseits auf der (sich der evolutionären Differenzierungstendenz widersetzenden) Kopplung der beiden unterschiedlich funktionierenden Systeme „Familie“ und „Unternehmen“, welche gleichzeitig auch als Charakteristikum von Familienunternehmen zu verstehen ist. Andererseits weisen die Resultate der vorliegenden Arbeit auf ein weiteres Spannungsverhältnis hin, welches sich aus der fehlenden Deckung von formaler und informaler Struktur ergibt. Zusätzliches Konfliktpotential konnte in den veränderten Umweltbedingungen und dem damit verbundenen Trend zur Ausdifferenzierung ausgemacht werden, wobei ersterer Faktor auch die Sinnhaftigkeit einiger bislang selbstverständlich praktizierter Handlungsmuster (wie die an der „ganzen Person“ orientierte Form der Kundenbetreuung) in Frage stellt.
