Folgen des Bosman-Urteils für die 1. Fußball-Bundesliga
Im Mai 2008 verabschiedete der Fußball-Weltverband (FIFA) eine Resolution zur sogenannten '6+5-Regel'. Nach dieser Regel muss die Anzahl einheimischer Spieler in der Startformation von Vereinsmannschaften im Profifußball stufenweise aufgestockt werden. Über die Reglementierung des Einsatzes ausländischer Spieler wird schon seit Inkrafttreten des sogenannten Bosman-Urteils diskutiert, durch welches der uneingeschränkte Einsatz von Spielern aus EU-Staaten in Vereinsmannschaften erlaubt wurde. Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht daher empirisch die Auswirkungen der Öffnung des Spielermarktes auf die Leistung der Vereine der ersten Fußball-Bundesliga sowie auf die Heterogenität der Liga und gibt einen Ausblick auf mögliche Auswirkungen für den einheimischen Nachwuchs.
