Goods classification based on distribution center environmental factors
Many factors, including carriers, drivers, humidity, operators, and temperature, affect service quality and operational efficiency of a distribution center. This research utilizes a novel algorithm for heuristic classification of goods that focuses on goods while considering the potential factors, and groups related factors. A high performing distribution center can subsequently be established. Two numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed classification approach.
