ICTs as Potential Enablers of the Green Economy in the Southern African Development Community
This article reviews the role of ICTs can potentially play in fostering green economy (GE) in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Specifically, the article documents the state of GE in SADC member states; establishes how ICTs influence GE development in the region; identifies some of the GE initiatives being implemented in the SADC; and finally the article offers recommendations for policy and research practice. The article does not aim to paint a comprehensive picture of the GE in the region, but it nevertheless points to general trends
