Industrial Production in the United States : Some Statistics

Media pundits and some politicians would have us believe that industrial production has been declining in the United States. Some would even say that “we don't make things anymore.” However, the statistics show a different picture. This paper examines the trade statistics for the United States from 1920-2016. The statistics show that industrial production is at a near all-time high. The present study also includes a bibliography of more than 100 trade studies, with links to those studies
