L'arrivée d’un enfant modifie-t-elle la répartition des tâches domestiques au sein du couple ?
L'enquête Étude des relations familiales et intergénérationnelles (Erfi), menée par l'Ined, a interrogé les mêmes couples en 2005 et 2008 sur la répartition des tâches ménagères et leur degré de satisfaction. En 2005, parmi les femmes âgées de 20 à 49 ans, 8 sur 10 déclarent s'occuper « toujours » ou « le plus souvent » du repassage, 7 sur 10 de la préparation des repas, et la moitié de l'aspirateur et des courses d'alimentation. La naissance d'un enfant accentue ces déséquilibres puisqu'en 2008, 38 % des femmes qui ont eu une naissance entre 2005 et 2008 et pour qui la répartition d'au moins trois tâches a évolué en leur défaveur, expriment une insatisfaction plus forte qu'en 2005. Seules la vaisselle et l'organisation sociale de la vie du ménage évoluent peu.
