La especulación financiera y las crisis de acumulación
En las economías capitalistas, el sistema financiero tiene la función de canalizar los recursos desde los ahorradores hacia la inversión productiva. Sin embargo, los movimientos especulativos perturban esta función, al sustraer los recursos financieros del sector productivo, bajo la ilusión de que el dinero produce dinero por si mismo. No obstante, solo el trabajo productivo genera riqueza y solo de él pueden provenir las ganancias extraordinarias de los agentes especulativos. Las crisis financieras son siempre el producto de esta contradicción, y expresan agotamiento en las estrategias de acumulación de capital y exige incremento en las tasas de explotación del trabajo. Por tanto, las dificultades para incrementar las ganancias agudizan la contradicción capital-trabajo y revientan en crisis sociales de mayores proporciones cada vez, frente a la desesperada exigencia de rentabilidad rápida y fácil de los agentes especulativos.
