Non-State Regulatory Regimes - Understanding Institutional Transformation

The purpose of the book is to approach those forms of regulation that are different from state regulation or non-state regulatory regimes. To take the reader through the issues raised by these regimes, the study is cross-disciplinary encompassing various perspectives be they legal, political, international relations’, economic, or sociological. The concept of non-state regulatory regimes can be summarized as both an issue of governance and of shifting the balance between the following key institutions: the state and the market actors within civil society, and their representative organizations.
