Occupational Self Efficacy: Constituent Factors
Beliefs about oneself are powerful determinants of performance. The present study was undertaken to identify the factors constituting the belief in one's occupational self efficacy. A standardized scale of occupational self efficacy was administered to a sample of 220 management students. It was then subjected to factor analysis. This analysis revealed six factors: confidence, command, adaptability, personal effectiveness, positive attitude and individuality as important constituents of self efficacy. The results are discussed.
