Orderbuchtransparenz bei homogenem Informationsangebot – eine experimentelle Untersuchung
Der Einblick der Marktteilnehmer in das Orderbuch gehört zu den wichtigsten und umstrittensten Variablen bei der Ausgestaltung organisierter Märkte. In diesem Beitrag werden die Auswirkungen unterschiedlich hoher Orderbuchtransparenz in 20 computerisierten Börsenexperimenten untersucht. In drei Varianten eines kontinuierlichen Auktionsmarktes erhalten die Marktteilnehmer entweder keinerlei Information über das Orderbuch, bekommen lediglich die Geld-Brief-Spanne zu sehen oder können zusätzlich zur Geld-Brief-Spanne die fünf ersten Stufen des Orderbuches mit Informationen über die verfügbare Stückzahl abrufen. Bei verbesserter Orderbuchtransparenz können die Teilnehmer genauer abschätzen, ob und zu welchen Kursen ihre Aufträge Transaktionen auslösen. Gleichzeitig verschärft der Einblick in das Orderbuch den Wettbewerb um die erste Position im Orderbuch. Die Kurslimite der Aufträge liegen in den Experimenten mit Orderbuchtransparenz näher an der Marktgegenseite. Erwartungsgemäß nimmt daher der Anteil der erfolglos plazierten Aufträge mit höherer Transparenz ab. Auf der Marktebene bestätigt sich die Erwartung, daß die Kursvolatilität durch die konsensbildende Wirkung des Orderbuches zurückgeht. Eine Verbesserung der Kursanpassung an die fundamentalen Daten ist damit allerdings nicht verbunden. In den transparenteren Märkten verringert sich die Geld-Brief-Spanne zu Beginn einer Handelsperiode wesentlich schneller.
