Schwacher Schulabschluss - und dennoch rascher Übergang in Berufsausbildung? Einflussfaktoren auf die Übergangsprozesse von Hauptschulabsolventen/-absolventinnen mit Konsequenzen für deren weitere Bildungswege
Jugendliche mit Hauptschulabschluss haben besonders große Probleme, eine betriebliche Ausbildungsstelle zu finden. Einige können unmittelbar nach Verlassen der Schule eine Berufsausbildung beginnen; andere hingegen münden zunächst in eine Maßnahme im Übergangsbereich Schule - Beruf, um ihre sogenannte 'Ausbildungsreife' zu erlangen. In der BIBB-Übergangsstudie 2011 wurden 87 statistische Zwillinge identifiziert, von denen ein Part bei der Lehrstellensuche erfolgreich war, während dies bei dem anderen nicht der Fall war. Die Autoren stellen die Faktoren vor, die den unmittelbaren Übergang in eine betriebliche Berufsausbildung positiv beeinflussen. Ferner zeigt der Vergleich, dass die meisten der Jugendlichen, die zunächst in den Übergangsbereich gemündet waren, in ihrem weiteren Bildungsweg problematischere Verläufe hatten als jene, die ohne Verzögerung eine betriebliche Berufsausbildung beginnen konnten.
