Veränderte Erwerbsverläufe von Männern in Ost- und Westdeutschland : ein Vergleich der Babyboomer mit älteren Kohorten

Im vorliegenden Beitrag wurde untersucht, wie sich die Erwerbsverläufe der Babyboomer von denen älterer Kohorten unterscheiden und inwieweit sich eine Pluralisierung der Erwerbsverläufe von Männern in Ost- und Westdeutschland für die Babyboomer im Vergleich zu älteren Kohorten feststellen lässt. Im Ergebnis konnte ein eindeutiger Trend hin zur höheren Diskontinuität und Pluralisierung von Erwerbsverläufen gefunden werden. Proportional zu einer steigenden Tendenz zur Arbeitslosigkeit, die in Ostdeutschland deutlich stärker ausgeprägt ist als in Westdeutschland, nimmt die Dominanz von Vollzeittätigkeit deutlich ab. Eine Betrachtung der Erwerbsverläufe im Längsschnitt zeigt zudem, dass der Rückgang an Vollzeitbeschäftigung auch auf die steigende Diskontinuität innerhalb der Verläufe zurückzuführen ist, die zunehmend durch eine höhere Anzahl an Übergängen zwischen Vollzeit und weiteren Zuständen wie Arbeitslosigkeit und Teilzeitbeschäftigung gekennzeichnet sind. Dabei gibt es deutliche Unterschiede zwischen Ost- und Westdeutschland, wobei die Pluralisierung von Erwerbsverläufen in Ostdeutschland um einiges stärker ausgeprägt ist.
