Vivre dans deux logements: surtout avant et après la vie active
Onze pour cent des adultes vivant en France en 2011 habitent deux logements ou plus. Le phénomène s'observe surtout chez les jeunes adultes (26 % des 18-19 ans). La bi-résidence tient chez eux à la fois à des raisons familiales et scolaires. Le second logement est plus fréquemment occupé les week-ends et lors des vacances. Chez les adultes en activité, seules 9 % à 10 % des personnes utilisent plusieurs logements, la seconde résidence servant principalement aux vacances et aux loisirs ; c'est encore plus vrai après 60 ans,lorsque la cessation d'activité accroît le temps libre et que la condition physique et les ressources financières permettent d'entretenir un second logement. Parmi l'ensemble des adultes occupant un second logement, on trouve plus particulièrement les retraités franciliens et les étudiants bretons ou auvergnats.
