Regression trees and forests for non-homogeneous Poisson processes
Mathlouthi, Walid; Fredette, Marc; Larocque, Denis - In: Statistics & Probability Letters 96 (2015) C, pp. 204-211
We propose tree and random forest methods for non-homogeneous Poisson processes. The splitting criterion is derived from a model with a piecewise constant rate function. A simulation study shows that the new method performs well.

A class of transformed hazards models for recurrent gap times
Kang, Fangyuan; Sun, Liuquan; Zhao, Xingqiu - In: Computational Statistics & Data Analysis 83 (2015) C, pp. 151-167
In this article, a class of transformed hazards models is proposed for recurrent gap time data, including both the proportional and additive hazards models as special cases. An estimating equation-based inference procedure is developed for the model parameters, and the asymptotic properties of...

A class of inference procedures for validating the generalized Koziol–Green model with recurrent events
Adekpedjou, Akim; Stocker, Russell; Mel, Withanage A. De - In: Computational Statistics & Data Analysis 62 (2013) C, pp. 83-92
-event time with recurrent events is considered. The generalized Koziol–Green model for recurrent events has been used in the … manuscript, we propose procedures for assessing the validity of the assumed model with recurrent events. Our tests are based on …

Empirical assessment of the Maximum Likelihood Estimator quality in a parametric counting process model for recurrent events
Babykina, Génia; Couallier, Vincent - In: Computational Statistics & Data Analysis 56 (2012) 2, pp. 297-315
A particular parametric model, based on the counting process theory, and aimed at the analysis of recurrent events is … largely explored in the literature on recurrent events modeling and are considered as typical parameters, whereas the …
