Assesses the situation in three public emergency services in Bulgaria in relation to the ILO guidelines on social dialogue in the public emergency services in a changing environment adopted in 2003.

Examines the social consequences of restructuring and investigates the role social dialgue can play in finding socially responsible ways to mitigate the effects of restructuring. Includes brief comparisons with the banking and financial services industry, postal services and public utilities.

Examines the performance of the cut-flower industry and its impact on national economic development and local communities. Based on field survey covering 12 flower farms in northern Tanzania.
