Práca analyzuje hospodársky vývoj v Nikarague po roku 1990, kedy sa demokracia opäť vracia do rúk vlády. Približuje zahraničné ekonomické vzťahy a integračné aktivity krajiny. Vláda postupne zaviedla reformy, ktoré podporili liberalizáciu Nikaragujskej ekonomiky.
