Как Правительства Старых Демократий Принимали Решения О Реагировании На Пандемию (COVID-19 How Old Democracies’ Government's' Decision Making Has Worked in Case of COVID-19 Responses’ Choice)

Russian abstract: Доверие граждан старых демократий политикам, бюрократам и экспертам сослужило им плохую службу в ходе пандемии COVID-19. Поверив в то, что никогда ранее не доказавшие своей успешности принудительные карантины (локдауны) и принуждение к вакцинации выбраны как наименьшее зло они и их дети будут долго оплачивать счета непродуманной политики. Речь не идет о нерациональном принятии решений политиками и бюрократами. Они принимают решения, руководствуясь своими интересами, а не интересами общества в той мере в какой общество им это позволяет. Поскольку личные права, свободы и частная собственность стали первопричиной и современного экономического роста и развития современной науки и медицины, призывы поступиться этими правами и свободами размывают основы некогда свободных, а потому богатых старых демократий. Моральная основа этих призывов также вызывает большие сомнения.English abstract: The trust of citizens of old established democracies in politicians, bureaucrats and experts has done them a disservice during the COVID-19 pandemic. Citizen’s belief that lockdowns and compulsory vaccinations, which have never been proven successful, were chosen by their leaders as the least evil, makes them and their children will pay the bills of ill-conceived policies for a long time. Here is not a story about irrational decision-making by politicians and bureaucrats. They make decisions guided by their own interests, and not by the interests of society to the extent that society allows them. Since personal rights, freedoms and private property have become the principal cause of both modern economic growth and the development of modern science and medicine, calls to sacrifice these rights and freedoms erode the foundations of the once free and therefore rich old democracies. The moral ground of these calls is also highly questionable
