신용카드시장에 대한 가격규제 필요성 : 양면시장 이론에 기초하여 (Is Price Structure Socially Optimal in the Card Payment Industry?)

Korean Abstract: 본 연구는 양면시장 이론에 기초하여 신용카드시장에 대한 가격규제 필요성을 제시한다. 현재 한국의 경우 신용카드시장의 회원수수료(customer fee)와 가맹점수수료(merchant fee)는 시장 자율에 의해 결정되고 있다. 차별금지조항 아래서 시장 자율에 의해 가격구조가 결정되면 회원수수료는 사회 최적의 수준보다 낮게 결정되고 가맹점수수료는 모든 판매자가 카드결제를 수납하는 조건을 만족하는 가장 높은 수준으로 결정된다. 따라서 양면시장인 신용카드시장에서 가격규제는 사회후생을 증진시킨다
