중국의 정치경제 변화에 따른 북한경제의 진로와 남북경협의 방향 (Prospects of China's Political and Economic Changes and the Path Forward for Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation)

Korean Abstract: 본 보고서의 주된 목적은 2013년 3월 출범한 시진핑 체제가 이끌고 갈 중국의 정치경제 변화 전망과 이에 따른 북한경제의 진로를 분석하고 남북경협의 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 시진핑 지도부는 개혁·개방 35주년을 맞은 중국의 미래 비전으로 ‘중화민족의 위대한 부흥'을 이루겠다는 ‘중국의 꿈(中國夢)'을 제시했다. 중산층이 폭넓게 자리 잡는 소강(小康)사회를 건설하고 중국 특유의 사회주의 제도를 완성하겠다는 포부이다. 이와 더불어 중국의 국제적 지위도 후진타오 시대의 ‘발전도상국'에서 벗어나 ‘새로운 강대국'으로 자리매김하고자 한다. 향후 10년간 중국을 이끌어 갈 제5세대 지도부의 대내외 전략 변화는 필연적으로 북한에 커다란 영향을 미칠 것으로 전망되며, 새롭게 전개되는 중국과 북한의 상황 변화를 토대로 남북경협 전략을 수립하는 것은 매우 중요한 과제로 대두된다.English Abstract: The main objectives of this study are to review the prospects for China's political and economic changes and challenges under the new leadership and to propose directions for inter-Korean economic cooperation. China has emerged as North Korea's largest economic partner through increasingly active economic engagement in the context of shrinking inter-Korean economic relations. As North Korea's economic dependence on China has surged over the years, China is expected to play an ever-increasing role in shaping the outlook for the North Korean economy and the Sino-North Korean economic relationship
