A IMPORTÂNCIA DAS ORGANIZAÇ’ES DE INTERESSE PRIVADO NO AGRONEGÓCIO: O CASO DA CADEIA PRODUTIVA DA MAÇÃ NO BRASIL
As exigências de padrões de mercado têm demandado organização do setor produtivo para atendê-los. Algumas estruturas organizacionais permitem perceber as mudanças e fornecer incentivos para que essas sejam implementadas. A Produção Integrada de Frutas (PIF) surgiu como uma demanda do setor produtivo, que necessitava de um sistema de certificação e rastreabilidade. Objetivou-se, nesta pesquisa, verificar a importância das organizações (associações) de interesse privado, na cadeia produtiva da maçã no Brasil, que adotam a PIF, verificando como essas atuam com outras estruturas do setor produtivo. A metodologia consistiu, inicialmente, em estudo exploratório para conhecer se melhor as características do setor. Após essa etapa fez-se uma pesquisa descritiva e explicativa usando questionários e entrevistas semiestruturadas nas empresas, cooperativas e Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (MAPA), incluindo a coordenação do Programa. Os participantes destacam a importância das organizações de interesse privado como impulsionador das mudanças, com uma participação nas atividades de capacitação, divulgação dos produtos e principalmente de melhorias da atividade, fazendo lobby junto ao Estado. Por parte do Estado, destaca-se que essas associações foram de grande importância para a adoção da PIF no Brasil.
