A New Legendre Wavelet Galerkin Method Applied to Study the Heat Transfer in Two-Dimensional Fin
This paper deals with two-dimensions heat transfer model in elliptic fin (dry, wet and partially wet) under most generalized boundary conditions. We have develop a new hybrid numerical method in this research work. This model is a boundary value problem of apparatus based on nonlinear second order heat equations. A new iterative Broyden Legendre Wavelet Galerkin Finite Element Method is used for solution. The discretization in y co-ordinate after that implementation of spacial type of matrix product and Legendre Wavelet Galerkin Method changes our problem into a system of nonlinear algebraic equations. The iterative Broyden Method provides solution for system of nonlinear algebraic equations. In a particular case, exact result is obtained and compared with present method both results are approximately same. Which shows the validity and high accuracy of the present method. Effect of different parameters such as Biot number, Latent heat, Kirpichev number, Fin thickness, Lewis number, η and ξ are discussed in detail. The comparative analysis of elliptic and rectangular fins efficiency for different boundary conditions is provided
