A Review of the Impact of Biofuels on Local, Regional, and Global Air Quality

The development of modern biofuels for various energy applications is gaining momentum- both in terms of applications and impacts. Given the increasing demand for energy resources in the transport sector, there is a growing interest to introduce biomass energy to support this demand. Transport sector is one of the main culprits (if not the primary) causing air pollution in the urban centers of the developed and developing countries.
