Administrative arrangements of regional policy of Republic of Poland, in a partial confront of this questions with the Czech Republic
This article is focused on administrative and regional structureof the Czech Republic and Poland. Its aim is to compare these structures in both states.. Generally, it can be said that both states have similar historical evolution. Accession to the European Union in the year 2004 meant a signifi cant challange for these states because of opportunity of drawing money offered by the European Union. At the beginning the Republic of Poland had some troubles with it, but nowadays this state is the biggest recipient of the EU structural funds, because there will be allocated 67 billion EUR in the framework of cohesion policy which is about 1/5 of total amount allocated to this policy. Among the common weaknesses of regional policy can be in the both states included the generality of documents and the incomplete consistency, the duplication in the case of developing, the regional policy, the regional policy fragmentation into several departments. In the case of the Czech Republic can be assigned territorial state structure, in the case of Poland outstanding relationships in the institutional system. Among the strengths of regional policy in the Czech Republic and Poland may be included the process of decentralization that supports the principle of subsidiarity, regional operational programs, support for the selected regions. In the case of Poland is it very signifi cant OP Development of Eastern Poland.
