Agenda 2030 in Educational Design

The paper focuses on the concept of sustainable development and presents the results of the research aimed at eliciting major changes in goals of sustainable development through analyzing regulatory documents for the recent decades to set a pragmatic paradigm for education purposes. The subject matter is the effective education model for identifying and analyzing the changes in the global tendency of assessing the concept of sustainable development and goals of sustainable development through Agenda 2030 modified by the COVID-19 pandemic.The objective is to apply the effective education model to teach the students of international affairs and law students to analyse the up-to-date changes in environmental legislation, to identify its current trends and controversial provisions and to propose the technique to identify the specific features of legislature in sustainable development in order to show the hazards and potential risks of the subsequent use of natural resources based on the newly shaped regulatory paradigm. The methods applied are a comprehensive analysis and classification of statistical data, legal definitions on sustainable development in the recent decades, with the applicable use of theoretical modelling and sampling. The sample included acts, enactments and federal legal issues on sustainable development that identify the quality and shift from the ecological paradigm toward the mercenary and acquisitive use of natural resources. The paper summarizes the results of applying the education model in international affairs students (master degree) of the Economic Department, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Moscow, Russia and the law students (bachelor degree) of Moscow State University of Management, Moscow, Russia.The findings of this research have shown challenges of implementing the recent enactments within the newly shaped regulatory paradigm
