An Empirical Investigation on Entrepreneurial Attitudes Among MBA Students

Entrepreneurship has been recognized as an important element in the dynamics of modern economies. Entrepreneurs play an important role in contributing for the development of an economy of a nation. Governments across the world have hailed the importance of entrepreneurship and its contribution to socio-cultural and economic development. There is general agreement that attitude towards the entrepreneur, entrepreneurial activity, and its social function is determinant factors for university students to decide an entrepreneurial career? This paper aimed at assessing Entrepreneurial attitudes among final year MBA students. It also attempted to determine any significant differences in the respondent's attitude when grouped by:(a) Gender, (b) Business Exposure,(c) Sibling Order, (d) Fathers education,(e) Mothers Education and, (f) Degree Background. The respondents were final year MBA students studying in a college located in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh (India). The data were analyzed using MS Excel and SPSS package.
