An Exploratory Study on The Effect of Female Education on Their Labor Force Participation Rate in Bangladesh

Women in Bangladesh have a lower rate of participation in the labour force than men. But over the years, their participation in the workforce has increased significantly. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between female education and the labour force participation rate in Bangladesh. Specifically, it has investigated how women’s enrollment in schools influence their participation rate in the national workforce. To test the relationship between female education and workforce attendance, the study has used secondary data from (World Development Index) WDI to run simple linear regressions to find out the nature of the relationship between the relevant factors. The results have directed us to a positive impact of women’s enrollment rate in the female labour force participation rate. The study has also found a positive relationship between women’s cash income and their participation rate in the workforce
