Arab financial institutions against the background of international economic blocs : An outlook
This study sheds light on the situation of the Arab financial institutions, highlights the present and future challenges at the Arab and international levels, and proposes a prospective view of their future. It begins with an overview of the major Arab financial institutions and their activities (Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, Arab Monetary Fund, Arab Institution for Investment Guarantee; national development funds; The Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to Arab and African Countries, The Islamic Solidarity Fund, The OPEC Fund, ABEDA and others; Arab domestic banks, Arab overseas banks, Islamic banks), it then analyses the international situation and developments and ends with some recommendations to enable Arab financial institutions to cope with world economic changes.
