Arbeitskräftewanderungen nach Qualifikation: Verluste in Ostdeutschland gehen zurück
Die Wanderung von Arbeitskräften ist von erheblicher Bedeutung dafür, wie sich Disparitäten und Wachstumsperspektiven von Regionen entwickeln. In diesem Kurzbericht werden die aktuellen Tendenzen der Arbeitskräftemobilität untersucht. Seit der Wiedervereinigung ist Deutschland durch ausgeprägte Wanderungsströme zwischen den neuen und alten Bundesländern gekennzeichnet. Die Wanderung von Beschäftigten zwischen Ost und West steht deshalb im Mittelpunkt der Analysen. Bei einem Wanderungsvolumen von insgesamt 312.000 Vollzeitbeschäftigten hat Ostdeutschland zwischen 2000 und 2006 per Saldo 96.000 Arbeitkräfte an den Westen verloren - darunter sind etwa 90 Prozent qualifizierte und hoch qualifizierte Arbeitskräfte.
