Arbeitslos - Gesundheit los - chancenlos? Arbeitslosenuntersuchungen
Jeder dritte Arbeitslose weist nach einer IAB-Befragung gesundheitliche Einschränkungen auf. In zwei von drei Fällen erschwert dies den Arbeitslosen, einer berufliche Tätigkeit nachzugehen, die der letzten entspricht. Der Anteil von Arbeitslosen mit gesundheitlichen Einschränkungen steigt mit dem Lebensalter und der Dauer der Arbeitslosigkeit. Er ist im Westen deutlich höher als im Osten Deutschlands. Gesundheitliche Einschränkungen behindern die Suche nach einer neuen Arbeitsstelle. Sie verschlechtern die Chancen auf Wiedereingliederung. 2001 wurden arbeitsamtsärztliche Gutachten für über 300.000 Arbeitslose mit einer Funktions- und Krankheitsdiagnose abgeschlossen. Am häufigsten wurden Erkrankungen des Muskel-Skelett-Systems und psychische Erkrankungen festgestellt. Im Bereich des SGB III bestehen nach Auffassung des Ärztlichen Dienstes der Bundesanstalt für Arbeit ungenutzte Präventionspotenziale. Der Präventionsgedanke sollte integraler Bestandteil der Beratung und Vermittlung von Arbeitslosen werden. Auch das geplante Präventionsgesetz könnte neue Chancen für Arbeitslose eröffnen.
