Assurance of Learning : Statistical Analysis of Learning Retention

We present a simple and systematic process to analyze retention of learning assessment results. We suggested ways to deal with the data before applying any statistical tests. We applied several nonparametric statistical tests for differences in means, medians or entire distributions using actual data. Our preliminary analysis reveals that an acceptable point spread in learning retention appears to be in the range of 5-6 points, on a scale of 0-100
