Availability of soft technologies and sustainable development
An account is given in this paper of soft technology options which are non-polluting, less energy-intensive and inexpensive to establish. Our endeavor in what follows, has also been to spell out some guidelines and strategies which can easily be adopted for sustaining growth with equity using soft energy options. The soft technologies tend to be employment-generating economically sensible and environmentally-benign.
