Basic Comparison of Three Sub-Saharan Renewable Energy Sectors Utilising the Triple Helix Model

Sub-Saharan Africa has an abundance of renewable energy potential, as well as the need for electrical power to grow these emerging economies. Yet these resources are very seldom exploited to their full potential. This paper aims to do a basic comparison of three Sub-Saharan counties utilising the Triple Helix Model as tool, with the aim of identifying commonalities and differences, which could indicate where interventions can be applied. The status in South Africa is compared to the status in Kenya and Nigeria
