Berufliche Rehabilitation behinderter Jugendlicher: Erwerbsintegration und Teilhabe der Absolventen von Berufsbildungswerken
Jugendliche mit Behinderungen und funktionalen Beeinträchtigungen haben es schwer, einen Ausbildungsplatz in einem Unternehmen zu bekommen. Sie weisen spezifischen Förderbedarf auf. Dem kommt der Gesetzgeber durch die Zuweisung von Mitteln an die Berufsbildungswerke (BBW) nach, die den Jugendlichen im Rahmen der beruflichen Rehabilitation eine Ausbildung in einem anerkannten Ausbildungsberuf vermitteln. Die Kosten hierfür sind beträchtlich, da die Jugendlichen über die berufsspezifischen Kenntnisse hinaus Erfahrungen sammeln müssen, die ihnen vor allem in den BBW-eigenen Internaten vermittelt werden. Die vorliegende Analyse zeigt auf, dass sich dieser finanzielle Aufwand langfristig lohnt, da die Wertschöpfung der Jugendlichen nach erfolgreichem Berufsabschluss deutlich höher ist als ohne Ausbildung. Hierzu wurden über 1.500 Abgänger der Berufsbildungswerke aus den Abgangsjahren zwischen 1995 und 2008 zu ihrem Ausbildungserfolg, ihrer Karriere und ihrer derzeitigen beruflichen Situation befragt.
