Blockchain and Human Resources Management

Human Resource Management (HRM) is a vital part of managing any organization. It has a direct impact on the efficiency and future of the organization. Done correctly, it ensures the well-being of personnel and subsequently the clientele of the organization. There are several aspects to HRM. Salaries, leave applications, talent mapping, job profiling etc are some examples. Present systems of HRM focus on personnel data held on centralized servers. This Centralized HRM has many facets. At the same time it has a few disadvantages too. This Paper analyses the possibility of improving HRM through Blockchain based systems and protocols. Firstly, we look at a generalized overview of how present HRM works. Then we shall analyse how Blockchain can be applied in HRM. We will compare how Blockchain systems function vis-a-vis centralized HRM systems. Finally the paper summarizes and concludes as to how Blockchain systems can add value to HRM
