Charakterisierung und Analyse von Asset Backed Securities.
Ziel dieser Arbeit war es, Asset Backed Securities anhand der Untersuchung von deren Konstruktionsmerkmalen und derDiskussion über deren potentielle Vor- und Nachteile gegenüber traditionellen Finanzierungsalternativen zu charakterisieren undzu analysieren. Insbesondere sollte ein möglicher ökonomischer Nutzen dieses Finanzierungsinstrumentes untersucht werden. Das Grundprinzip einer ABS-Finanzierung besteht darin, daß ein Unternehmen einen Pool von Finanzaktiva in einer extragegründeten Zweckgesellschaft verselbständigt und diese Aktiva als Grundlage für zu emittierende Wertpapiere - die ABS -nutzt. Dieser Vorgang wird in Anlehnung an US-amerikanische Ursprünge Securitization (Verbriefung) genannt.Voraussetzung dafür ist, daß die Aktiva einen permanenten Cash Flow generieren, aus dem Zins- und Tilgungsverpflichtungender ABS-Papiere bedient werden. Es besteht also ein weitestgehender Zusammenhang zwischen den Cash In-Flows und denCash Out-Flows. Es läßt sich insgesamt feststellen, daß die Finanzierung mittels ABS eine Reihe von ökonomischen Vorteilen impliziert. Erstensverfügt der Originator durch den vorzeitigen Verkauf von Vermögenswerten über liquide Finanzmittel, die er entweder für dieRückführung bestehender Verbindlichkeiten oder für weitergehende Investitionen nutzen kann. In beiden Fällen spiegelt sichdarin der effizientere Einsatz des eingesetzten Eigenkapitals wieder, da einerseits der Verschuldungsgrad reduziert wird undandererseits der erwirtschaftete Gewinn steigt.
