Civic Education and Development of Participatory Norms
This study examines the relationship between civic education and participation in extracurricular activities and the development of a sense of civic duty. The results indicate that greater exposure to civic education and more active and innovative teaching methods correspond higher levels of civic duty and voting responsibility, but a duty to serve in the military. Participation in political and service extracurriculars activities is also related to a general sense of civic duty and voting responsibility
