Comparative Study for the Contract Design of Interest Rate Derivative Products in Turkdex

Turkdex is one of the promising derivative exchanges with its innovative products and competitive strategy. This paper focuses on the short term interest rate (STIR) futures contract specifications of developed and emerging markets and presents a comparative study for the Turkdex STIR futures contracts. It is empirically investigated that Turkdex contracts are definitely different from mostly traded STIR futures contracts by their size, pricing and contract months nature. What if analysis is also conducted by the real settlement prices of the Turkdex STIR futures contracts, to show the opportunities and threat of this product during the financial turbulences
