Country Program Evaluation: El Salvador (1992-2004)
This evaluation (RE-307) of the Bank's country program in El Salvador covers the period from 1992 to 2004. The review period thus begins with the conclusion of the Peace Accords and the end of 12 years of armed conflict that led to a serious deterioration in the population's living conditions. Since then, the country has been making evident progress in economic, social, and political/institutional spheres. The Bank has played an important and positive role in this process, although almost no loan operations have been fulfilled since 2002.
