Cultural Difference and Competitive Advantage : A Perspective on Global Virtual Teams

The paper aims to find the link between cultural difference of global virtual teams and their competitive advantage by examining contributions of cultural difference/diversity to firm's innovation, knowledge sharing, team member's motivation and firm decision-making, and relations in between. The findings are that cultural difference, with some negative influences as shown by some other researchers though, may be viewed as a source of competitive advantage if properly managed in global virtual teams
