Current Gender Gaps in Financing Public Expenditures in the Republic of Moldova

Among the tasks facing the modern Republic of Moldova, the priority is the implementation of reforms that should bring the country closer to the European level. Among them is the reform of local self-government, budgetary decentralization, the redistribution of powers in the interests of territorial communities, etc. In our opinion, one of the determining aspects of the effectiveness of such reforms is the consideration of the gender factor.The paper aims to study gender budget expenditures by using both existing international legal norms and national norms of the Republic of Moldova for gender budgeting. To achieve this goal, we set the following tasks:• to demonstrate the need to implement gender budgeting;• to identify modern approaches to the content and understanding of gender budgeting in the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, as well as state policy in promoting gender equality through budgetary and fiscal policies;• determine the content of "gender budgeting" expenditures;• to identify the main areas for the promotion of public policies and expenditures in the administration of budgetary funds for gender equality and non-discrimination.The object of the study is the public relations that appear in the process of implementing the administrative and legal means of gender budgeting in the Republic of Moldova for the administration of public expenditures
